Anybody help, sure I've read somewhere that you can buy some sort of insert that can stop the door rattle on a S2 ???

Sounds like the striker pin that is too small - if so its a recall item and can be replced foc.

But for the time being wrapping insulation tape round the pin will do the job.

I've just managed to fix my passenger door rattles by adjusting the striker pin inward. Already had the later 10mm pins so give that a shot!

I've got the same and have it booked in for the replacement striker pins.

I also have a drivers' door which creaks like the opening of a coffin every time the door gets a bit warm. I've used WD40 on the hinges but this is not helping the problem - anyone else come across this and managed to solve it?

Both my doors do that! Thought about WD40 but I don't think I'll bother now if you say it doesn't help.

Hmmm, dunno why but I seem to think you can get some specialist lubricant for the aluminium door hinges. Might be worth asking on the BCBBS.

Of course I might have dreamt that when a decent dream went off topic so to speak

Had my after sales service at B&C and now all my rattles (about 5 independant) have all been cured, Ive got enlarged striker pins in my doors now (even bigger ones, my car is the 04 model). Absolutely no rattles at all!

Head unit eh? I would suggest going for the single slot CD or MP3 route. MP3 fantastic as you can have a whole weekend of listen pleasure without having to move your left arm!! Also saves the hassle of running wires for changers.

Personally have a Sony something-50, fantastic!! (Looks good to 'cos the cd loader is a drawer that slides out and the illumination matches the dials)

Girlracer

Just to add that after a few days after the WD40 soaking my coffin creak has now disappeared, so it may be worth giving it a try, just don't expect instant results.
