How many miles of pure driving pleasure?
Discussion
Just read an interesting post on the Esprit page . Got me thinking what sort of mileage have people put on their elises past and present. With so many getting written off has anyone surpassed the 100k mark yet and how problem free was the motoring.
I have only put 7500 on my S2 with weekend driving over the last 14 months but want to keep it as a toy for a long time yet so plan to make it the second car!
Hence the interest in the longevity of peoples purchases!
Thought the board could do with another carefreelifeisbeautifulpost....just hope that there arent too many horror stories!

Bought 2nd hand in late April with 8,500 miles on it. Now it's got 12,600 on it.
Not quite up to bogie's mileage - but I do have to maintain my own car
However I can fully support his grin factor, it's just fg brilliant.
Was with a couple of firends at the Italian Car Show at Brooklands on Sunday and they were saying you should have got an Integrale Evo II, a Maserati Ghibli Cup etc and to be fair I thought if I got a good one then it would be fun. At the end of the day I got back to the Elise, popped the roof off jumped in and 1/2 a mile up the road I knew I'd made the right choice of car.
Chris
Mind you that Alfa SZ was bloody gorgeous - maybe in a few years, or maybe an Exige is the next "logical" step
