Rollbar help

I have a MK1 Elise that I use for trackdays. The car has a set of the Elisepart seats which are comfortable and hold me in position. However, with a crash helmet on, my helmet sticks up above the rollbar. This is not a good thing . Does anyone know where I can get a rollbar with a hoop above the driver's head?

It would be easier to take out the seat and sit on the floor.

I too have your problem, to change the roll bar would cost alot and then you would have hood problems.

When I had my seats out recently I sat on the bare floor, the increase in headroom is about 3 or 4 inchs.
I think maybe it could be possible to modify the seat in some way.

Not a bad idea - the seat cushion comes out which would probably give a couple of inches. I'll give that a try. Cheers

The original seats have only maybe 2 inches height raise on them. Perhaps a return to factory seats might help?

Unfortunately I'm running full harnesses and need the slots in the chairs to provide location for the belts. As I'm running slicks the lateral location from the race seats helps too
