Greetings all just had the side window jam in the up position on my S2

I have been told that this is a common fault – so before I head towards the garage with my tool box in tow, I thought it a good idea to ask you wonderful people what I’m likely to find in the door ?

So……..

Is it and easy fix of bolting and clipping things back together?

Is it definitely likely that I will need a new ‘bi threaded left handed widget’ or similar component that always busts.

Or would I be better off taking it to a specialist and requesting that they relive me of huge amounts of cash in exchange for fresh air?

Cheers

Yes its still under waranty but for what could be such a easy fix the trauma of getting it to and from there is not an easy option.

Any body have an answer for us?

for all you s2 people the problem is a quick fix one of the bolts comes out and locks up the mechanism - common fault aparentley. Takes about 15min to fix and can be stopped by sealing the thread.

yeah ive had this problem, Its caused by a screw in the window runner comming undone. to remedie the problem you need to get the window in the open position somehow (tilt it towards the front of the car whilst trying to open it usualy works) then get a long screwdriver and tighten the screw on the runner towarsd the front of the door.
Hope this helps
