Felt the need to drive last night so took the roof out (as always) and went for a blast.

Ended up on the A272 between Winchester and Petersfield and back and I don't think I've enjoyed being in the car so much since I bought it. No traffic and lots of bends where the Elise came into it's own. Stopped off for an OJ half way round and lapped up the 'nice car' comments before heading home.

Does anyone else have a favourite route that you do when you feel the need....?

And mine. Although have yet to do it in my Elise (fave Infamous Breakfast Route for ex - biker days)!
I guess you are local - so another one is Chichester to Midhurst Road, ALL of 272 and some good roads between Havant-Chichester-Midhurst-Petworth-Petersfield-Alton Etc.
Enjoy - but watch those early morning/late evening Radar traps.....

Yep. I have found a fantastic stretch in Brecon. It's about 5 or six miles long with sone really good twists and some nice straights. You can really push the car without ever getting above 80. There are a few sections which are a 30 limit (and I always slow down to 30 in them). Traffic is usually non existant.

When the section finishes you join another great but busier road which goes back round to the start again.

I had a great run about 2 weeks ago with a guy in a Scooby behind me. Not racing just both happy to be in great cars on a great road.

Last weekend I chased a turquoise (ew) 993 Carrera 4 through the single lane part of the A44 near Evesham, Fish Hill area to be specific after some recommendations from fellow lotus owners. Was having plenty of fun throwing the elise and the girlfriend around bends and over long windy straights. High point was the pursuit through the country side of the Porsche who couldnt shake me. Slowed to 30 through the villages and didnt harass him, was just content to be tucked in behind him as he tried to lose me for 20 miles (he couldnt go above 100 on the NSL parts due to the nature of the roads. Pulled up at a roundabout and noticed the tank was dry so we exchanged big grins (mine clearly bigger than his) and parted company - he couldnt believe it was a standard lizzy!

Can more fun be had on 4 wheels???

Oh yeah beautiful roads and countryside up that way!!!!!

The B4007 between Tring Where I live) and Newbury can be great, but as it can be narrow overtaking is limited if you get stuck behind a dawdler.

Yes, A272 winchester to petersfield, made for an elise...and Tiff Needells favourite stretch...but more importantly, what is Vicki B-H's favourite?

The stretch of the A20 after leaving the M20 at J8 and heading towards Canterbury is pretty cool. I recommend driving all the way down to Motorway Sports Cars, pressing your nose up to the window and laughing at their ridiculous prices, before turning around and driving home!!!

Me and the man sometimes take the 340R out for a blast on this route in the dead of night when it's bound to be deserted... obviously we have to wake the neighbours getting the beast out of the garage, but hey, it's a small price to pay.....
