TURBO CHARGING v SUPER CHARGING
Discussion
Would like to hear from owners who have experience of either upgrade. I was considering supercharging having once onwed a tuned Polo G40 in my youth, but I have heard of reliability problems stemming I believe from key engine parts not being uprated to cope with the extra pressures etc, please correct me if I am wrong as I may well be.
Having looked at the BBR site the pricings for the various turbo upgrades seem attractive when compared to supercharging, but I am not sure if you can turbo charge a VVC engine.
Reliability would be my main cocern as I intend to do more track driving next year.
Comments and thoughts would be welcome.

Probably worth talking to these guys too: www.force-one.co.uk/
Felix1, you should take a look at www.brgmotors.com This italien tuner offers a wide range of tuning parts (mainly Britisch i think)He also has 3 conversions with superchargers. If you are interested you better have a talk to these guys. In the main time you can learn some italian....
The other obvious site to visit might be www.turbotechnics.com since their supercharged Elise has featured in several favourable magazine reviews over the past couple of months.
At last I have found a 111S that TT have supercharged. The car has had its problems but to be fair to TT they have responded very quickly when this particular car suffered problems e.g. the belt coming off.
The conversion was done in 2000 and has since being upgraded. This particular car is up for sale, unless I buy it first, but the extra 70bhp and additional torque make a hell of a difference to the cars performance. If any one is interested in the car I am happy to pass on details
