Red Hose Problems

Hi guys, looking for a bit of advice with regard to the red hose, with the hot weather we have had i could not get my elise s1 into gear on a few occations i now know the reasons for this but please could someone tell me if :

1)it is a diy job
2)if so how long
3)where is the best place to buy a braided replacement
4)how is it done

Sorry for all these questions but... help ! ....

1 Possibly if you know how to bleed a clutch.
2 dealers reckon 6 hours, specialists 3 hours

4 Try and find a copy of the Lotus service manual on the net - it has all the relevant bits that you'll ever need to know about your elise.

Email me and I'll try and point you in the right direction for the manual

Its £230 all in (supply and fitting) from a chap called Bruce aka Ragtop Roadsters (in Cheshire).

Bruce at Ragtops is your man - everyone on Elise BBS speaks v highly of him and prices are v reasonable..
