I am considering of installing a set of drilled brembo break discs on my S1. Opinions ? experiences?

have you experienced heat fade with track use with the S1 factory discs? Perhaps instead of the coated aluminium discs on the S1 you might just change to the S2 discs (reverted back to steel I believe).

I already have the drilled discs that come standard with the S2 . Thing is, i managed to destroy them. I read that brembo ones are far better than the original lotus discs.

Lotus original discs are made of toffee.. They don't last that well.

Just buy a set of EBC or Hi-Spec discs and they will do much better and are loads cheaper too.

Check out www.eliseparts.com or www.race-speed.com for the right bits.

Edited to say that X-drilled discs don't really help you either. Plain discs or perhaps grooved ones are better.

Bye, Arno.
