I am new to the Lotus world and have my eyes set on either the Sport 135R or the S2 111S. I really like the 135R's sport suspension setup (esp since I will be using it on the track occasionally). In addition, I have always fancy getting a limited edition Lotus... However, for the price I pay for the 135R, does it make more sense getting the 111S with 20+ hps?? I could always get the Lotus Sport Suspension later on, right? Would appreciate any comments.

If you're using it on the track more than once a year, get the 135R. The 111s was really intended to compete for the boxster buyers. Also, it does not take much to boos the power of the 135R.

the Lotus suspension and wheel/tyre package that you need to go with it is £4.5K ! put that on top of a 111S and you could have bought a Sport 190 Elise !

Go 135R and stick an induction kit/cat/Piper 270cams in it (£1000 total) and you will have 150bhp +

If you in any way want that suspension/tyre setup then get the car with it on

Thanks! I didn't realize that the Lotus suspension/tire package cost that much!!!

How reliable about the aftermarket mods you mentioned? Could you please give me more information?
