damper/spring replacement - which to buy?
Discussion
OK - I'm almost certain the annoying knocking on my '97 is the tired old Koni damper (it got to 40k miles which has to be reasonable from what I've read about them!). So I guess it is time to replace the whole set of dampers/springs.
So here is the dilema - what to get?
Eliseparts are offering a fairly competetively priced set of Bilstiens, but I see there are a whole host of other options. I use my car everyday, so primarily road use -but have started to think about the odd track day - nothing too serious though.
Can anyone offer recommendations?
Thanks

There are now kits to fit the S2 Bilstein dampers and springs to the S1 using modified upper mounts.
This seems to be one of the best solutions for a road going Elise with occasional track use.
Of course it's a non-adjustable setup, but it performs well in most situations.
Bye, Arno.
