In the near future i will be getting new tyres on my Mk1 Elise and wondered if anybody has any views on what to get ? Are P-zeros the best option or what?
All advice gratefully received. Thanks

Nope - try Toyo Proxes or Yokohama Advan Neovas

I still have the P zeros on mine and will probably go for Yoko Advans when I change them. I think Toyo's are cheaper but not as hard wearing from what I have heard.

Ive just fitted Goodyear Eagle F1's to the front on my elise. Did this because I thought the P Zeros that were fitted were terrible and have used F1's several times before and thought they were great.
The car was understeering really badly before but is spot on now, and I dont feel like Im going to die every time it rains.

Yoko Advan Neova LTS are about the favourite S1 road/ok on track tyre from what I can gather. They'd be my choice.

Just had a set of Yokohama Advans fitted to my S1 to replace the P Zeros it came with.

Zeros were crap in the wet and gave no notice when they lost grip.

Advans are much more progressive and seem to suit the car more.

They also look rather nice too!!

Fitted Yoko Advans in February. Totally transformed the car much more grip especially in wet, very progressive, less road noise. Definately the tyres to fit ring round for best price as available from lotus only. look to pay £400 or less

p.s. when people say 'Yoko Advans' they mean 'Yoko Advan Neova LTSs'. Most every tyre Yoko makes is branded Advan so its not terribly helpful (including their semi slick AO39s and AO48s

Dan.

Yoko Advan's for the Elise1 are only available via your local Elise dealer (and they only stock one type) - stops all the confusion!
