Elise v Porsche
Discussion
I think Ben P was a troll all along, but it's very hard to tell.
Regardless, that kind of thread always gets out of hand and even if it is all Elise owners have a laugh whilst they're bored at work, it makes most of them look like complete nobs, and it's why I avoid that forum nowadays.
Oh for the Good Old Days of "Barnabus Collins" and his white Elise, the Elise Coffee Table thread and the "how do I make my wheel centre caps line up when I park?" thread. They were finely crafted trolls if I ever I saw one!

Amusing, until I read the posting from "Smackdown" at the bottom of the page...
>Funny incident last week,
>I was coming home drunk from the pub with a couple of
>mates and we saw an elise in JPS black colours parked
>up outside the local chippy (closed at 3 in the
>morning!), being pissed we though it would be funny
>to knock some bits off it.
>To cut a long story short it stood up pretty well to
>the abuse we gave it, coming off lightly with loss
>of one of its wing mirrors and a few scratches.
>This is where the story gets interesting, the next
>day I'd driven to the local beauty spot and what was
>parked up there? The black lotus -minus one of its >wing mirrors looking a bit sorry for itself. Not one >to leave a job half done I checked around for the
>owner and seeing the coast was clear, shredded his
>roof for him with a stanley knife.
>Top one as when I drove off it started to rain 5 mins
>later! Result!
>Next time I'll do your tyres mate.
If he isn't a troll then this is the kind of person that needs both their hands amputated.
Quite a convincing story - I can imagine how I'd feel if it happened to me...
