not happy!
one of the two tail pipes on my Elise has dropped off - looks like it's rusted straight through just after the last bend before the 6 inch bit that sticks out of the back of the clamshell.

I'm assuming that I can't replace this bit alone and need a new backbox.
In which case I may as well put a sports exhaust on.

anyone got a recommendation for a sports exhaust?
don't want it to be too loud... and I'll probably be fitting a cat bypass at the same time.

would also like a realistic idea of the performance gain - I'll probably end up modifying the engine more in future anyway (thinking about convertig to VVC, as I have all the bits....)

cheers all

If you don't want it too load then I suggest you leave the cat on.

As mentioned don't take the CAT off if you don't want it too loud. It'll sound like you opened hells gates if you remove it.

Dunno much about S1 exhausts which is presumably what you have?

thanks guys - after I've sorted our a new backbox I'll probably experiement with cat on or cat off and see whether it's bearable...
