The infamous 'Cat and fiddle run' is a good one loal to you. Take the A537 out of Macclesfied (from the rail station go up in to the pennines). Fantastic tarmac, although sometimes the plod is up there in spotter planes. Seriously, but mainly for the bikers. Pass the Cat and Fiddle pub on your left, then take a left (I think) A54) to Congelton. Turn round and do it again.
As for Europe, the Nurburgring is 4 hours from Calais at normal speeds. Go to the web site to find an open day www.nuerburgring.de or www.silhouet.com , turn up and pay £6 for one 22km lap, or multipals, or a day pass, and go through the start/finish ticket machine barrier. Easy. No helmet needed. Loads of places to stay, oh, on the way back do Cochem on the Mossel and get some local very cheap wine. fantastic.

one of my favourite roads is from Horncastle to Revesby in Linconshire, fast and flowing and tight and twisty, as said by scribbler, get to the end turn round and do it again, just be careful in Linconshire of the plod
also get yourself off to Le Mans in June, the drive down is FANTASTIC, you can tear the arse out of the french countryside, the people like fast cars and plod isn't everywhere, also when you're there you can drive on the famous tarmac yourself as the majority of the curcuit is public roads
