PTP 165 at Emerald Results
Discussion
Just found this on the Lotus BBS bulletin board, independ test of the PTP 165 Cylinder head conversion.
Owen Geddes, Bovingdon, owen@race-speed.com
Just got back and am pleased to say it broke the 160 barrier.
163bhp @ 6523rpm
140 lbft @ 4623rpm
Nice thing was the torque curve; 120lbsft @ 3500rpm, 140lbsft @ 4623rpm and 138lbsft @ 6000rpm. Nice and flat.
Quite pleased with that. Exhaust manifold is blowing which couldnt have helped either.
Biggest surprise was Robs car though. He has a 160 head, cat pipe, ebd manifold and sports exhaust. Everything else is standard - including airfilter,
cams and ECU. He made 146bhp @ 6600rpm and a whopping 143lbsft @ 4560rpm. Fantastic!
So finally we have independent figures for the PTP conversion - and yes it does what it says on the can.
Now to get my throttle bodies on and the Emerald ECU is on order....
cheers
