I have to replace the front 2 PZeros on my Elise Mk1 (185/55/15).

Apparently they are obsolete now and I'm having problems finding some...

So...

What do I do - replace the front 2 with something else?
Replace all 4 with something else.

I do'nt like the idea of mixing tyres much but would rather no replace the rear tyes as they've only done 6000 miles.

BTW this is quite urgent!

Just called a local performance tyre place as mine will need doing soon too. They said you can still get them through a Lotus dealer. If you don't want a second mortgage one of the few manufacturers who do a matching front and rear set are Michelin with the Pilot Exalto and they quoted me £387 all in for a full set.

If you're going to spend £387 for a full set of tyres, for Gawd's sake spend an extra £30 and get a set of Yokohama Advan Neova LTS tyres.

I wouldn't recommend mixing brands front/rear, definately worth getting a full set for safety/peace of mind reasons. It's not hard to sell your part used tyres to someone to burn up on the track.

Try Geary @ www.eliseparts.com, he always seems to have a stock of nearly new and used tyres, no doubt he will have some.

Given how expense the P Zero will probably end up, you may find you can get a full set of an alternative for the money the fronts would cost.

Dunno what the favoured s1 tyres are though.
