I am due to pick up my S1 tomorrow, can I do any work today?.... No chance! It is going to be a long day!

I can't wait, I am obviously looking forward to HGFs, over heating etc as all non-believers have warned me of, but do I care! Just how common are they?

If anyone sees a norfolk mustard S1 around Wallingford / Oxford way with a bloke driving it with a massive grin, wave! I will!

Welcome to the World of Lotus - the Wallingford bypass is pretty good for testing the acceleration and brakes.
I'll be around in a Ruby Red S1 111S, and I do wave to other Elises (not all do).
Have fun.

alunr - didn't your lady wife want to come to the pub yesterday after her US trip?

Unfortunately no. She was jet lagged til yesterday evening really and any attempt to leave the house was followed from her by "I'm really tired and have'nt seen you for a week".

Will definitely make the next one though.

I am sure you're a very nice person and all that... but I have suddenly developed an irrational, jealous hatred of you. Have a nice day!

twit/alun, there's the SELOC Spring Cheer run this coming Sunday (27th), starting in Basingstoke. Route details are on www.lotusevents.com, and you need to be a registered member of Seloc to join in (www.seloc.org).
Are you interested in the run, and in travelling down to Basingstoke together?

I know the Feeling, its great to finally take it out on the open road and have a blast, ( i was obsessed with the brand since 007 took an esprit underwater) people will stare, some will smile and point, some intentionally ignore you and some will give you the finger, but enjoy it, be careful in the rain though( Brakes are suspect,)Keep an Eye on water Reservoir, i reckon there is a 70% chance your head Gasket will go sooner or later, if it does go independent, or you local Rover Dealer, you see they have allot of Experience to fixing Blown K series head gaskets on all of there Cars!
