Does any one know the servicing costs and frequency on the New Elise. Also has anyone actually have the supercharging system fitted to their car ?

first run-in service is 'labour free' - and will cost somehwrere between 50 and 100 quid

after that its at 9k and every 9 k / 12 months after that. I would guess 2 - 300 quid a go.

didnt think there was a superchargin kit for one yet - but the K sries engine is a bit weedy where it matters for turbos/supers so maybe not a good bet?

Supercharging presumably refers to the Turbo Technics installation. Their new demo car is an Elise 2.

Seen the TT conversion at full pelt, and I can confirm it is a very quick car - pushing around 190-200 bhp (depending on the weather) with bags of torque across the rev range.

Has had some teething problems though.

On the subject of getting a few more ponies out of the K series my local mechanic builds race engines for the series and does all sorts of tuning and conversions on the engines, I can put anyone who is interested in touch with them. Probably worth talking to them just to get a feel of what can be done.

Just had to have my say. Had my 2nd hand Elise serviced in Januray at 27 months old - set me back over £1k as I had to have the suspension rebuilt.

Also, had to have a new lambda sensor fitted for the first MoT, that was another £400 (mostly labour).

BEWARE - the costs can soon rack up, although a friend of mine has had a slightly older Elise for the same period of time and it's cost him less than £300 (excluding tyres).

This sounds just like my Griff 500 - it is actually more expensive to own an older model that to bite the bullit and buy a new one.

I've heard that Team Proactive in Birmingham are about to start doing Lotus servicing. If they are as good on Loti as they are on TVR's they'll blow the doors off soem of the establishment!!
