Anyone use an elise as a day-to-day car?

Hi all - looking for a replacement car to get me to work. After much debate over Audi/Beemer, someone suggested an Elise, Insurance is not too bad and fuel appears to be better than my current work car (laguna). thing is - I dont have much confidence in paper stats on things like this so was wondering what the owners thought re; running costs, comfort of ride etc. I travel about 50 miles a day which is about average I imagine.

I haven't posted about this in the past - use as a day to day car from January until now. Commute about 40 miles a day. And its been just fine - hasn't leaked, hasn't caused any problems, enough room to get a laptop and a small suitcase in the back, cheap on petrol.

Basically, day to day at the mileages I use it for its fantastic

i used my mk2 for work and covered 32,000 miles in a year!!!
it was great, no problems at all.
