Does anyone know how to get light scratches out of gel coat?

Looks like my car has had a close encounter with a verge or something similar so it has quite a few very fine scratches which only show up in the nice weather!

I'm assuming T-Cut isn't fine enough so, any ideas??

All lotuses are painted with normal paint with an etching primer and are not a gel coat similar to kit cars (ie the paint is not part of the fibreglass). so in theory T-cut or similar should be fine. If the scratches are really fine then you might be able to polish them out with turtle wax scratch remover (I think its called) its the colour coded stuff you see on shelves.

Hope that helps

I would recommend Liquitech. Use the Finish Prep for the initial swirl/wax remover, and then apply a few coats of Finish First. This stuff is absolutely amazing but very difficult to get hold of outside of the States.

I used T-Cut Safe Cut for a light scratch recently and it worked a treat. Easy on the elbow grease though.
