I have a mk1 Elise that I generally only drive on nice sunny days and therefore generally with the roof down.

The roof is probably what I find most annoying about the elise and I was therefore thinking of purchasing a shower cap such as the one on eliseparts.com.

Is there anyone out there with any experience of these? Do they really only take a few seconds to put on? Are they taught enough not to set off the internal alarm sensor? Are they worth the money?

Thanks for the help,

Gordon

I got one from EliseParts and its is very taught. I've only had the alarm on once or twice with it on and it's never gone off yet.

I've seen plenty of other showercapes but they all seemed a bit baggy (you'll be sure this one is the wrong size when you get it!)

Takes moments to take off/put on. - 2 toggles + 2 clips.

I got a shower cap with the car when I bought it so i dont know which one it is.
Its excellent, have used it many times already even with the alarm - no probs at all.
P O P to put on and take off, only slight draw back is I keep knocking the mirrors out of line - wkat a trauma !!!
It's not baggy at all as it has little suckers which stick to the side windows.
