Long weekend in a Lotus!

Hi guys.

I've promised my elise - err - I mean my Girlfriend a long weekend away this Easter break. Any ideas for some good places where we can get lost in the Lotus and have a nice short break. (live in colchester, Essex ==> less than 3 hours away). Cheers

Hmmm, can't suggest anywhere in East Anglia I'm afraid, but I'm sure there must be somewhere nice around here.

Bath is just about within your range and is a perfect weekend destination, plenty to do and see. Fab roads for the Lotus too.

If you can push up to Cumbria, I definitely recommend the lake district, I can also recommend a very nice cottage that I stayed at with my girlfriend last year.

For me its got to be the Lakes or North Wales (but then I like mountaineering too) - probably about 4 - 4 1/2 hours ish from you (I live in Brentwood - not too far up the A12)

Also the Yorkshire Dales are nice...around the Hathersage area near Sheffield ...that would be around 3 hours ish for you.
