Have found a Website called Micronet (www.micronetshowroom.com).

It sells cars from Europe.

However not the normal fords and VWs!!

This site sells everything from BMWs, Mercedes and of Course Lotus Elises.

I am looking at buying a new Elise and I am thinking of using these people.

Wondered if anybody had used them or new anything about them.

A little nervous about handing over all that money and it all being a con.

Any help appreciated

Do a search on google newsgroups. There's a few disgruntled people on there. Also heard they're generally a bit crap. Just get down to a dealer and negotiate, you will get money off and you'll get the car quicker and (fingers crossed) with less hassle. Also very good getting to know a face at the dealers so you can b*ll*ck them at a later date

As an addition to that - a dealer may have excess stock so you can negotiate on the cars he has available (brand new ones are often available within 1-2 weeks!).

Someone on here said their dealer was offering £1000 off any car I think.

Where are you based perhaps we can point you to a good dealer.

When I got my car last June I managed to get 7% off list + sports exhaust at cost price ...that works out more than you'll save by importing. Plus with a car like the Elise I like my PDI to be done at the supplying dealer...its more likely to be sorted better from day one :-)
