How were the Honda-engined Elises? Was there any track action?

Ther was a Track Zone day running on the circuit at the same time as the exhibition.

I was there in my Sport 160 but apart from 1 other Elise that was "for hire" I was alone with lots of turbo Jap stuff.

Where were you all? It was the best bargain day I've ever had, only £75!!!

Last one at that price until November though.

I went on saturday. Show was okay but not super exciting. I've got some pics which I'll be posting soon.

Didn't even know about the track day option

I saw you circulating then bertie - what was the story with that red VERY standard looking mk 2 fiesta - it looked to be being pedalled rather quickly? And was that blue thing a metro?

They were both doing rather well and I suspect they were far from standard. Certainly the "1.1 Ghia" fiesta didn't roll much round corners, had a full cage in and some sticky tyres.
The Metro I let past me as he was right up my arse as I was following some slower stuff, later that lap I wen't past him as he coasted to a standstill just after the Dunlop bridge.
Saw it with the bonnet up in one of the garages later sounding very rough, but it was a serious engine from the bits you could see. Direct to head throttle bodies, Emerald M3D management, verier pulleys etc and I suspect rather more than 1400cc.

Hope I sounded well and looked like I was trying, because I was!!!

Buggar I really enjoyed the Donnington show until now, Bertie you've just spoilt it for me - would have much preferred to be circulating

As I mentione a few posts ago, it was nothing to do with whoever organised the exhibition and had no connection.

It was a track day run by TrackZone (ie Donnington themselves) which I booked onto.

It came as a suprise to me that there was something on at the exhibition center, I know nothing of it!!
