Apologies if this has been covered before - I must have missed it.
Just wondered how many of you guys leave their Elise outside, either on the driveway or on the street overnight. If you do have you ever had trouble with vandals? I know someone who has a TVR Chimaere(sp???!) and he had some numpty run a key down the whole lengh of the car while it was right outside his house. He lives in a respectable part of town too! It would worry me leaving my pride and joy outside, when I save up enough pennies to get one. Is it a common thing?

Also are they a big target for being half inched. Is the Elise known for joyriders or do they stick to XR2's and the like nowadays

Cheers guys

Oh one other thing while I'm here. Does £13495 for a T'99 Elise with 23000 miles sound too good to be true. I think it was red IIRC which I'm not too keen on.

Never had any probs with vandals, park all over the place as I use the car for work (30K miles a year all over the UK)

IMO the Elise is not a target for joyriders/thieves, and is not highly nickable for parts/re-sale either.

I don't reckon its nickable either. Can't really take them abroad to sell (too conspicious) and hard enough to sell on in this country unless you are a dealer.

You may get vandalised though as there are plenty of arseholes who will ruin mondeos let alone sexy sports car.

I'm always nervous parking in multi storeys etc though!

Well my old rechassised car of that vintage with 27500 miles was for sale at a dealer for £17995.(But it was in titanium).
