I'll be fitting a pair in the next few weeks, both verniered (sitting at home waiting for some time to do it). I believe that there is a torque/power increase over a large part of the rev range, with the upper part of the rev range (5500+) being much better (5500+ onn a standard engine is pointless) . . .

No idea w.r.t TT conversions.
They are, perhaps, one of the most cost effective first mods you can make to the K engine for some more fizz . . . without going crazy.

Engine Check Light or malfunction light on the S2 Elise - if it comes on youre supposed to go to a dealer to get things checked. If its on permanently (say from removing the cat) then you dont know when you have got a genuine problem. Hopefully the new plug compatible Emerald ECU will be able to sort it out so you can go over the 150/155bhp limit that the std one seems to be able to cope with...we can only but wait and see when someone decides to test it on their S2 !
While w plug compatable emerald will alow you to tune further I still can't see how this will get through a legitimate MOT.
IIRC any ODBII compatable ECU is configured by the manufacturer and this is verified as part of the MOT, fail this verification and you fail the MOT. So, unless you can replicate the ECU responses it'll still fail the MOT. If you replicate the responses on, say, an emerald I suspect that is still illegal, although perhaps more difficult to determine for the tester.
I've read somewhere that ODBII compliance had a very big effect on the aftermarket tuning industry in the US, I expect the same will happen here . . .
. . . then S1 prices will increase . . .

Havent had the time, work and some superb 'boarding in Colorado has had me out of the country for all but 6 days in the last month . . . not sre when I'll have the time to make a start, had hoped to give them their first test on a track day on the 8th of March, but that's not going to happen . . .
