good head?

has anyone had the vvc head ported n polished. is it a worth while mod, i,m told that a good head job can release 12-15 extra horses? right or myth.

On a std K a mild port n polish (no valve work) gives around 10bhp.

For VVC why not get Dave Andrews 185bhp kit for £1600...its gonna cost £450 + labour for the port n polish ...save up a bit more and go the whole hog :-)
