Looking to put some new tyres on my mk 1 Elise and noticed the Yoko AO 38's (I think) on an Exige and wondered if you can fit them to my Elise. They seem to be like a cut slick I suppose bearly on the side of legality but in the dry I would guess they have got to be good. My car is only out in the sun and will be a relative anual low miler so tyre life is'nt that important, but I do like the odd track day so any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

A few of us folk up north are experimenting with Maxsport RB5 retreaded cut slicks, road legal (apparently) and very cheap . . . 200 quid a set ish ?, soft, very, very grippy in damp to dry conditions.

I have a set on a second set of rims, will never waste road tyres on track again, unless there's a lot of standing water . . .

Worth a go, google for maxsport
