I am planning on buying an Elise S1 in January. Will probably be privately so would like to have my final choice checked out by someone who knows their stuff (I don't). HAs anyone got any recommendations/contacts?

I'm based in south east.

Live in West LOndon, but looking to buy anywhere in the south, so Cambridge may not be too far away.

Do a search on google for lakeside engineering in surrey. Speak to Max Hurst or Tim Baker. They have moved and I do not have their number but they are excellant. They know their stuff, never overcharge and in 7 years of Lotu ownership I have never had anything but supern service from them.

Give em a try.

Yep, I'd second Lakeside Engineering. Sinclaires (www.lotusrepairs.com) are also very friendly and knowledgeable.

Ignore this - looks like someone at Pistonheads may have dropped a cup of tea in the server and this old thread has come back
