Hi,

I'm just about to collect my new 111R and wondered whether anyone had any useful tips on how to run her in.

Looking forward to owning my first elise!

just follow what it says in the manual

also take care around sliproads and roundabout exits.
this is where most people slip up this time of year.

that is unless you ordered traction control

Also, don't think they won't know if you thrash the arse off her. The ECU records important info about RPM, coolant temp, engine hours run and road speed. If the worst should happen they could use the info against you.

other than that enjoy, just be careful this time of the year, the roads are greasy and you cannot take liberties. They are great cars.

Yup, stick to the rev limits/limited throttle and use all the gears (don't labour the engine in a high gear). You'll have no problem keeping up with traffic (4.5K in 6th is almost 90mph).

Keep it smooth and get used to the handling before the joys of 2nd cam...

Cheers,
Ali
