Not so evil Keevil
Discussion
Just got back from an airfield day organised by motorsports-events. What an excellent day out. Very well organised too. Much more laid back approach than the Castle Combe day I attended earlier in the year. Looooooads of run off which many were taking full advantage of. One guy in an MR2 decided to do some serious gardening in beteen runways and there was a chap in a caterfield sporting a most rediuculous wing who spun on vertually every corner. The cones seem to be everywhere to start with but you soon get used to them and it makes for some rather entertaining and commited driving. The 135R stood up extremely well although I did finish off a rather tired set of rears and a full tank of fuel. In summary; lots of time on track, plenty of room to play, learnt loads, fantastic value, Nobles are very fast! Airfields could be the way forward.
yep, the same here in the Netherlands, not enough playing ground like you folks have in GB...thats because a lot of airfields used during the great war are most of the times not used annymore for airplanes if I'm correct?
Here in the Netherlands are a lot of rules! but they don't give you nice playing grounds in return...wish we had more play ground and trackdays in the Netherlands

Pop on down to Abbeville in northern France with Lotus on Track. Easily reachable from NL (somebody did just that when I was there), it's a great little circuit for mucking about on and is VERY cheap.
I was hoping to get to Keevil with my new Exige, but couldn't get it run in in time, still only got just over 500 miles on it. Did an event at Hullavington in my old Exige Mk1 with Motorsport Events and it was very good indeed. As you say plenty of tracktime, easy day, good instructors, (Patrick Havill), a good day out. Also did Westover's day at Castle Combe a few months ago which was very good fun and again wll organised. We are quite lucky here in theDorset area to have a few venues within decent driving time.

Not really sure where Keevil is. There would be no reason to go there unless you were going for a track day put it that way!!
