Hi, Im thinking about an old elise, to use mainly on trackdays, as the race car only has one seat and i want to get an instructor in the car.

Does anyone have experience of using one soley as a track car i.e only taking it out once or twice a month and then thrashing it round a track all day?

How do they hold up to that sort of abuse, whst brakes and what do they get through a l;ot ( tyres brakes driveshafts ect)

cheers
G

Surely a caterfield would be cheaper and closer in performance to a single seater.

I have a supercharged TT230 elise mk1 which does exactly that. It's done about 6 trackdays this year and hasn't even used a drop of oil. Brake pads are about half worn and the disks (Lotus sport) seem hardly used. On the whole it's hanging together very well indeed. Fingers crossed it will stay that way...

Graham,

You must be making far too much profit on my Pcs to be able to buy yet another toy.

Do you a good price on my Elise.
