Larini 111R orders
Discussion
I'm still waiting too - its been bloomin'ages! I emailed them last week and was told 'They are currently in production and the plan is to ship the first batch towards the end of the month.' They have been saying just a couple of weeks more for months so I will believe it when I see it!

From what I understand from talking to the guys at Larinis, the first 111R deliveries will be towards the end of the month. When the group-buy orders were placed they were just finishing off the testing and jigging of the prototype and gearing up for production... I imagine the first production systems wil be starting manufacture the next little while and will trickle-down for deliveries of those ordered.
Just for your information, I was involved in a group buy for 111S exhausts about a year ago. (through SELOC)
Larini were pretty slow, we had a few e-mails going back and forth, which got a bit irate towards the end.
The exhausts all turned up though, and fitting was relatively straight-forward.
Was it worth the wait?
Oh bloody hell, yes

Has anyone who ordered a 111-R zorst on the 1st Larini group buy heard anything yet? I have not heard a bug*er, I have sent 2 e-mails to the larini "info" mailbox asking for a delivery date but not even got a reply. Consideing that they debited my credit card over a month ago now, I am starting to get a little concerned about the level of service.
Having tried different zorsts on my 111r, and having been driven in other 111R's with other alternatives, I've found them all to be either too quiet, or way to noisy to be viable on either a car that's in use every day, or for those who want to track. But I've recently had fitted a Larini Spots Exhaust, and all I can say is WOW.
Firstly it's beautifully made, and it's a real shame that it's hidden when fitted, but good to know however real quality is there. The sound however is something else, lovely deep growl on hard acceleration, with a bit of an infectious burble on downshifting. Cruising at 90+ gives a pleasantly subdued note, you know it's there but it's not an unpleasant drone like some systems give. Performance improvement, probably marginal; but knowing how Lotus insist that the their standard system is very efficient, and their own Stage 1 or 2 systems give very little performance benefit, the Larini one probably confirms this.
Weight of the system is easily 50% lighter than the original.
Can thoroughly recommend, and those that have invested a 111R system as part of the Larini group buy have a real treat in store. Anyone else who is hesitating, all I can say is don't!
But you can even improve on this and add a Sports cat as well, and the WOW comes then through a huge grin. Engine spins up much more freely, and mid range acceleration is certainly improved. Not done any definitive mpg tests, but the two tanks I've used so far appear to have improved the mileage, and I guess this may get better as the ECU adapts to the new set up.
No question, a big thumbs up to both bits of kit
