Could anyone give me advice or feedback on the alternatives to the Bridgestone Potenza std fit? I do not want to alter the geometry or set-up on my car, so I don't think that A048's are an option, but what about Yoka Advan Neova's or even Pirelli P9000's?

I like the Potenzas on the road but they are rather expensive and seem to wear quite quickly on track. Any suggestions or views, ideas of prices would be much appreciated?

I red recently that US car and now others Elises will have the Yokohama AD07 or something like that. This is to increase the grip of the front.
Personnally, when my bridgestone will be out I will ask alot about these yokohama and the A048 (which seems to need another set-up). I would not recommend to quit a Lotus-approved tyre but I may be too "Lotusman" to remain objective.

For the R - you have a 5.5J front which means 175 front (185 max) You would need oz wheels to run yokohama 048's. The tyre that is used on the federal elise is the Yokohama advan AD07 LTS which is now a lotus recommended alternative to the Bridgestone. Not a track tyre as such, but supposed to offer better dry grip but perhaps not as good as the potenza in the wet. Probably not as durable either according to lotus. It is not the same as the advan neova which is sized for the S1.

The feedback on this forum about pirelli has been bad.

Other options:

Toyo Proxy T1-R
BF Goodrich
Dunlop

UK 06my 111R's are indeed being fitted with Yokohama's which I believe are cheaper than the Bridgestones (which are in short supply anyway)

Thanks chaps. I am tempted to try the AD07 LTS tyres, particularly if there is a wider front tyre than the Potenza to improve grip at that end.
