gear stick gate?

i just got among other things a nice shine gear stick gate for my elise for my 30th. i was wondering if anyone else on here had one and could advise the best way to fix it on.

i'm guessing that i just drill 3 holes the size of the raw plug type things that came with it, glue them in then screw the gate in. but i thought i'd ask advice before i started drilling into my car!!!!

yes - thats about it...just be careful when drilling the holes you dont go too deep

while i'm asking how easy were the indicator stalks i noticed you've got to fit? i got a set of those too and again aren't looking forward to sawing bits off my car so thought i'd just quickly get an opinion off someone whose done it!

Its no problem. I got a set from Eliseparts.

I too was a little disturbed to see a hack saw blade with my indicator stalk set but it actually turned out real easy.

Saw real careful and slow as in istruction just behind the gator flange of the stalk (having removed the gators before, you'll need them).

My only issue was that the little grub screws are almost self threading as they go in and withmine one went in at a nasty angle. It was a bit dificult getting them to bite and thread straight. After they were inthough no problemo. Good luck.
