'Flexi Pipe' - help please !

I have just bought my car, a '99 Elise S1, and when I've looked at the last service bill - done 400 miles ago, it states that I need a new 'downpipe flexi'. I've looked at the Elise parts websites and it's about £100 for this part. what I'd really like to know is if this is a good price, and if I can fit this myself - is it just a matter of taking the panels of the underside of the car, and then the pipe is fairly accessible ?
any help is greatly appreciated, many thanks.
