Topping up the oil on my 111R - 5W40 or 0W40?

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to motors - just bought some 1L Castrol Edge (0W-40) as I noticed my Elise had used a little.

The manual recommended 5W - is it okay to use 0W?

Difficult to guage how much to top it up by, it's used about 1/6 of the total I'd say...

yes it will be fine for a top up...generally its 1L from min to max on the stick...so wait until its 1/2 way down and stick half a litre in - sorted
