Hi,

has anyone got any suggestions for reasonably priced Warranty's available for an s1? I wouldn't usually bother, but then i don't usually spend this much on a car

I'd been given the number for a company called car care plan who only offer cover to dealers/civil service employees (thanks anyway piooly)

any advice appreciated

I think a few have had the AA one. I'm a cynic and frankly I don't think any warranty is worth the paper its written on these days - practically every one of them includes a wear & tear clause which you can be sure will be trotted out at the first available opportunity should you try to claim against it.

The best insurance policy you can take out is to only buy a car with a good history, that's been checked over in detail and given a clean bill of health by a reputable specialist. Should cost you upto £150 depending on where you go but will be worth every penny if you're after peace of mind.

Hi again,

sorry to hear they wont give you cover. It did come with the car when I bought it from the dealer. My year ran out and the warrantee company gave me the option to extend it for £225. Wont be letting that go. Car is in the garage again, radiator has broken again, they only replaced it 6 months again!! oh well atleast the warrantee will cover it again at £400. Ouch...

good look with the search...
