any thoughts / comments? Or better avoiding the 'club' idea and sticking to the usual trackdays?

It's run by some former SELOC directors who wanted to concentrate on trackdays. Excellent very well run days and you'll be sure of a good welcome. Always my first choice.

BTW as long as the circuit allow it spectators are always welcome too so you could always turn up at an event to see how things are run before committing. Chances are you might even get a few pax rides if you take a helmet.

Very friendly and professional bunch. They even let non-Lotus cars to join in!

Yep, I've been teetering on the brink of doing my first trackday and I'll more than likely do it with LoT. Have been to two sessions at Brands recently to get a feel for it and had pax laps with friends from Kent Lotus which were brilliant fun and let me get a feel for how things work.

Echo the comments above, very professional friendly days, run and attended by genuine Lotus enthusiasts.
Good value too

Another vote for L-O-T - as most of the other cars are Elises there's no real issue of being overtaken all the time, well apart from Bogies 300BHP monster

I prefer open pit lane days and the usual TDO's are;

www.lotus-on-track.com #1 top value and good org
www.rma-limited.com #2 great org but expensive
www.easytrack.co.uk #3= OK, LOT book thru them (I think)
www.bookatrack.com #3= OK

I've encounterd a fair few LOT folks on trackdays before (always seemed good track etiqute- even if boggo Elises are soooo slow ) & a mate does lots of days with 'em & always spoke highly, so I joined up.

Has anyone tried the Plansmotorsport guys at Dunsfold (they are just round the corner from me)?

I have recently bought an Exige S2 and would like to learn how to drive it properly!

Highly recommend a day with these guys:

Plans get good press for car set up etc.

I would also recommend Don Palmer to teach you how a car works, and how to control it with its own flow, rather than against it.

Agreed, Don knows a thing or two about driving, to say the least.
His days are relatively pricey tho...

Thanks guys.

I see what you mean about them being a bit pricey. Although I s'pose you get what you pay for.
