OK - who wants to buy one of these...? If enough of us are interested, we may be able to obtain a discount?

I've had enough of looking now!

So, that's three - just got to decide which exhaust as well... Larini, QS or Janspeed... even maybe a Lotus Stage 1 / 2...

The Larini looks to be pretty good reading stuff from SELOC and here...

Hi all,

I've just spoken to Lotus, they recommend either the Stage 1 or 2, and Induction kit, Pipe comes out at about £325 fitted + vat

They also said not to get a Stage 2 if you have an Exige or a Hardtop on your Elise as it makes to much Noise

Hahaha - about time you got rid of those ridiculous pea-shooters boggy

Lotus would recommend their kit wouldn't they eh? I hear good things all the time about Larini. But that cost for pipe and induction does sound pretty reasonable. Stg 2 is very, very loud as you know but OHMYGOD will you get noticed.

You'll even make El Beast II sound muted

Hi Tim,

Yes I know but I'm so afraid of them telling me that the car isn't covered under warranty, I'll get whatever I decide when it's serviced probably the Stage 1 & Induction Kit, I know it's more Money but on hearing Davey S1's car it sounded so cool

Stage 2 and Pipercross combo sounded awesome on the Exige I test drove a few weeks ago

However I personally wouldn't go for a Stage 2. Sure it sounds great but you won't get on too many tracks and following what happened to Castle Coombe the rules are only getting tighter...

Stage two fitted by lotus on my 111R sounds wonderful, deep and loud. Sure gets you noticed, but wouldnt be without it.
Went down to Wales a few weeks ago, with all that noise coming from the back, we both thought it would be annoying and uncomfortable, but we soon got used to it. Actually its almost reasuring when you hit the loud peddle !
When over the magic six thou, the scream that eminates from the huge pipes , is a sound to behold.
The deep burble in sixth as you come off the throttle always makes me smile too.
So yes, you could say i am more than happy with mine.

C C have had the local council bods sticking their sound probes up the back end of GTs and F3 cars, then come to the conclusion along with two other local house holds, that they spoil their Sunday once a year, ( SHAME ) So the council said no more thankyou please....The curcuit decided to appeal this, as yet i dont know the outcome...

I'm getting a Larini for my S1 sometime soon... the look and sound

I just fitted my hurricane and S160TB last night and the difference is remarkable... it's gone from sounding like a bit of kitchen equipment to a sports car

I have stage 2 on my Exige makes the car sound special.
No probs for daily use - great at scaring small children / animals too!Only problem would be track use - maybe keep the original for the track?
You will luv the stage 2.
