How to quietendown my S1 111S

Just got it this summer, and loving it, BUT getting annoyed with the noise level.
Mine is currently missing it's CAT. I assume getting one of those put back in would help - but I hear they need replacing often.
Is there a known quieter exhaust?

No cat will increase the volume and also fail its Mot so its well worth looking into getting another fitted.
Cant help with getting a replacement though sorry.

Find out if the rest of your exhaust is the factory standard one too. If not, try to source one and something similar - I think they were pretty quiet out of the factory.

Apparently a full interior carpet set can help a lot with damping general interior noise too. Google shows this as an example:

Exhaust makes a huge difference. Mine had a hideous (albeit lotus accessory) exhaust fitted when I got it, with a horrible oval tail pipe and was raspy and loud. I've swapped it for a much quieter one with the standard style tail pipes and of a similar design to the Elise parts system with the fairly large round box. It's a much nicer deep note now. Although I will note it's taken a bit of performance away! Not a huge amount but you can tell it doesn't exhaust gas as well at high rpm.

I had no cat on my S1 111S for about 5 years, combined with a Janspeed Supersport it was loud, especially at the top of the rev range. Back to a cat now, much quieter.

Not sure if they are available still, Brooke Kensington exhausts were more mild for noise.
