Elise s1 audio upgrade

The CD player isn't working and I would like to upgrade. Has anyone upgraded their stereo and if so what would you recommend?

I've just changed the head unit in my S2.

I bought a pioneer sph-10bt, mainly because it has an inbuilt cradle to use for your phone

Had to buy two of these to pull it forward enough for the cradle to clear the dash : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185515487234

They fit between the dash and the cage - thankfully the cage can still be secured at the top and bottom with this gap. There's no movement or rattles etc.
