something strange going on here - anyway - repost:

Heres the results and report from the TunerGP at Donny last weekend...the Elise entries did really well, and showed up 600bhp 996 Turbos, GT3s, 800bhp Evos etc...they would have won most things if it wasnt for a souped up Westfield XTR trackday special...anyways great result for all the engine conversion cars:

Eliseparts Duratec conversion
Auto-Teknix Audi conversion
DVA Power K series
Maidstone Sportscars Honda conversions (NA and SC)

results here:

www.tunergp.co.uk/results.htm

was a great day out - looking forward to the next one

cheers

it was me admiring your car whilst you were trying to get that intercooler (or was it a rad?) in the boot...

i was impressed how 'factory' looking the conversion was. very neat

oh right !...that was a super dooper lightweight hand made Elise rad that Charles (Yasec on SELOC) made in his machine shop in Hungary, then brought over for Steve B.

yeah - theres more room in the engine bay than there is with the K series

awesome! looked like a nice rad! i thought it might be an i/c for your car so you can get even more power.... like you need it

the silver S/C Honda'd Exige sounded cracking as it hit the rev limiter going up from the old hairpin!!

that 1000bhp RC Developments Evo 6 never even turned a wheel did it?? all i saw was a pool of oil around it...

Im waiting for the chargecooler kit to come out

The SC cars do make a nice noise...strange when you first drive one hearing it whining..but very distinctive.

I dont think it did run...a little bit tooooo much power perhaps !

Hi,

For those who do not read the lotuscars official website, I would like to repeat what I red from Nick himself.
As published last week. "There is no plan to devellop or sale a supercharger kit for the 111R"

I was also very sad to read it but as far as the truth exists for some, I believe him.

If you are lotus life member, go to www.lotuscars.com then members area, password,... bulletin and finally technical tips,...

the Auto Technik car was bloody quick too, and sounded good... especially as it drove down the pit lane with a trail of gravel falling out the back...
looked nice though!

i guess all of the conversions are roughly the same cost, apart from the additional 3k for the SC on the Honda 300bhp conversion?

the RC Evo must be rather highly strung... 1000bhp from a 2.2!!!!!!!!!

Audi 300bhp is nearer £10-11K by the time youve got the extras and paid for it all yourself (rather than supplying car with engine out etc)

mind you the Honda prices are all + extras like baffled sump, LW fly, bigger oil cooler, upgraded clutch etc.....

not much in it between Honda and Audi 300bhp cars - just which type of power delivery you want...Audi is heavier though.
Duratec is lightest and cheapest, you keep your old PG1 gearbox
