... whoever screwdrivered the nose badge off my Elise last night. Utter cnut who ever you are. Enjoy the air while you still can.

I needed a new one - but I planned to do it myself. I suppose they must collect faded 3 year old nose badges from all marques. ;)

A big thankyou to Ian at Stratton Motor Company for sorting the mess out this morning - for just 20quid. I had only just got the car back from having the nose resprayed two days ago so I think he felt a little sympathy for me.

Chavs: it's not big OR clever. You wouldn't like it if I set fire to your Corsa now would you?

Gosh, sorry to hear that - but I'm glad you were able to fix it for £20.

maybe they are trying to steal it piece by piece .....

i must admit that is one of my main worries of lotus ownership - someone trying to make off with a badge. decided not to build a garage though as it will take 4k or so out of the car fund.

Well, £4k would pay for 200 new badges... That's a lot of very determined Chav's!

Sorry to hear of your mishap. Petty thievery or any other form of assault is saddening to hear.
For those of us on this side of the pond, what does "Chav's" mean?

See http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=chav

C.H.A.V. = Council Housed And Violent. I'm sure you have your own version over there!

I agree, I would not have baught my p&j without a garage to put it in. The garage cost £7k then £1500 for the door. But my baby is safe!

Happend to me a long while ago on my S1. The original badge way V chaped on the front clam, good for opening bottles.

Never found out who it was.

That hurt, I laughed SO MUCH! That website just got added to my favourites!

Getting back to the subject, the basic fact is that it shouldn't have cost you a 'mere' £20. It shouldn't have happened anyway. I would sincerely like whoever did this to meet with a rather sticky end. It is NOT their property so what gives the little bs the right to do this?! It makes my blood boil!

Parked outside at a mates until about 11 o' clock. Parked there all summer and no problems apart from kids wanting a ride. Always very nice to them and gave it a bit of throttle to give them a smile.

Reckon since they went back to school the older kids are starting to roam the streets in little gangs more.

Just didn't check the car over as I usually do before I pull away from there ) and noticed it this morning at home - so a garage wouldn't of helped in this case.

Thing is, you use the car to travel and have to bite the bullet sometimes and park up and hope some little tw*t doesn't tamper with it. Reminds me of Pulp Fiction when Vincent Vega says it would have been worth it to catch them doing it...

Time to start looking out for a chavved up saxo sporting a lotus badge! B***ards!

I hope they didn't trash the paintwork. Death by wogga wogga to all vandals. (I have had 2 sets of tyres on my wifes car slashed in the last 6 months £900 down the drain)

Top tip, fix the new one on with industrial strength Velcro from B&Q - you can whip it off at night :up
