Just brought a '99 S1. Can i put 225 tyres on my standard wheels??
I need a car cover for everyday use. Is there much difference between halfords car covers and a fitted job that costs loads more??

225's on rear no problem. 195 on the fronts.

re the car cover - yes....one blows around in the wind...the other dosent..and also is generally better quality (waterproof) rather than just showerproof.

225/195 is stretching it a bit on standard rims isn't it? I've got 225s on the rear but on wider rims... running 185s on the front and see little reason to go any larger

The Yokohama Neovas are only available in 195 and 225. They were developed specifically for the S1 Elise so based on this I'd say you should be OK.

I belive the tyre is The Yokohama Advan Neovas LTS.

The LTS denotes the Lotus specific.

Went for BF Goodrich myself. I use the car every day so went for the cheaper tyre. The BF G's are far better than the Poxy 0's

I have the 225 bridgestone SO3 on my sport 160 and they are fantastic. Massive grip in dry and wet and lasted 14,000 miles of very hard driving. Get them !!

ALso upgrade the fronts to S03's too 195 width ..
