Had fun on way back from TVR Monster - got behind a Exige on M25 - he was running in the lower gears (well it sounded like it!)>traffic open up an bam I was gone - not reall fair so dropped make in middle lane - both gave each other the nod in third - or what ever is the right gear for each at about 70 and nailed it.

Like he had suddenly hit the brakes.

Caught up later and explained that he would have most likely been not far off a std 500 Griff / Chim and that mine was not std!

But hay - would have Murdered me in the twistys - v.Nice Car though (just needs a large Chevyin the back!)

Had a TVR 4.2 Cerbera.... sold it and got a S2 Exige!!!
You can't beat a TVR in a straight line...show it a roundabout and. Oh dear...overtaken by a Smart Car!
I miss the TVR but the Lotus is just so much more fun to drive every day! Yes I miss the power of the 360bhp, but the Exige will soon have a supercharger giving out around 280whp. With the weight to the car it will be in the super car league!

The Exige/Elise is not meant for top line speed. It’s built to go around the track. Its quite easy to put a V8 4.2-4.5L engine in a car to make it go fast..Hey the yanks can do it!! The Exige has a 1.8L
