From rain cap to hood up timed

Just timed myself from taking the rain cap off and putting the hood on because the skies just opened up and chucked down so i thought i wold see how long it would take.

Managed it in 32 seconds

What is a rain cap?

For me, I suspect anything under 30 mins will be a success..

Its a cover that goes over the top of the car when the roof is off a just in case thing saves you having to put the roof up all the time

funnily enough I just had to do the same...

.. but strangely I didn't think 'I know, I'll see how long it takes' mainly cos i was getting wet!

Its the only time i do it fast when i get wet otherwise i just look like a homo trying to do it really fast in the dry.

Crikey! Was that on your own? managed to put the roof on my old S1 with an ex in 20 seconds but 32 on your own with the rain cap is majorly impressive!

No Rain cap, but from pulling over to getting the roof on, less than 45 secs, i.e the auto imobiliser hasnt cut in by the time I set the alarm

It cant be an S1, I tried it over the weekend and the fastest I could do it was 45 seconds, and that was going like a nut!!! You got any video fottage, if it is an S1, must look like a Benny Hill film !!

No it was a S1 hood and it was going very very fast and i got very wet doing it

Ahhh, maybe thats what it is, I did it in the sunshine so I'm sure that must have made the difference........ must have looked funny you moving so fast, wheres a petrol station when you need one ehh !
