EliseParts Linkage Kit

I have just fitted the EliseParts linkage kit to my S1 Elise, but have a serious problem.

The provided top-hat thin nylatron bushes are far too tight on the bell-crank pivot.
And I mean VERY tight.
I can 'just' get the bell-crank pivot into the mount, with the top-hat bushes in place, but changing gear is impossible due to excessing stiffness.

Has anyone else had this issue?
