Vibrant colours

to my mind the brighter the colour the better in an Elise
same. they suit a loud colour yet don't suffer unduly from it - i.e. negative comments / look at me etc. also helps with your visibility on an otherwise grey day.mine is red but the only other one in the country is blue so not a great selection. i think the mint green used on the s3 is amazing. agree re: isotope but that's more the shade than the brightness. i have a friend with a chartreuse green 911 st replica and the effect is the same, its just not a shade i like the look of.
Mine is Metallic Orange (C205) as well. I was slightly apprehensive about the colour having only seen pics before turning up to collect it. I needn't have worried as it absolutely fantastic, especially with the black pack contrast.
I was also concerned about any negative attention it might attract, but it seems that it draws universal approval. Aside from those pesky Porker drivers and their narrowed evil eye of course
Have you seen that F1 NAL plated Elise in that mad lifeboat orange that is proven to melt retinas? :- https://www.thesupercarblog.com/last-lotus-elise-c...
That's pretty vivid.

My Exige is in quite a bright blue, and gets positive comments all the time. Some cars suit bright colours, and I think the Elise / Exige definitely fall into that category.
When I was searching I actually wanted black or metallic grey. I’m very pleased I ended up with something a bit brighter though and don’t regret it.

It's funny, speaking of positive reactions; we arrived in Killarney today and everyone wanted a picture with the car and had lots of questions to ask. Thumbs up and flashes on the motorway, and at the hotel, a fellow petrolhead offered to put a cone beside the car so no one would try to squeeze in beside it. Embarassing rock star treatment.
Managed 261 miles on a single tank on the way, which is a PB, but the last miles to the petrol station were a little tense with nothing at all showing on the gauge.
It's a year this week since buying and happy to have bought something that I love, and as a lucky bonus, chuffed that everyone else seems to like it too. OP, buy vibrant and you can't go wrong

Not keen on 'shouty' colours TBH, I have an early 111S in ice blue which I bought primarily for its subtlety of colour. It was alos the right car in terms of mileage and history but the colour swung it for me.
That's not to say I don't like bright colours just that, as a middle age bloke, I don't like to draw too much attention!
