Hi…

We’re looking at getting a refresh for the suspension, including anti corrosion treatment to the chassis mounts where we have a little oxidisation starting to appear.

Has anyone had this done recently? Wondered what sort of figures are being paid currently?

Will be replacing any bushes and other items that need doing and having suspension arms etc refinished at the same time.

Thanks

Yes, seen that and been in contact.

Just trying to research some alternative options.

Thanks for posting though.

Anyone else with recent experience?

I did a complete suspension refresh on my Elise S1 motorsport project a few years back, it's not cheap, but really satisfying, I bought most of my parts from Dave at Seriously Lotus when he has a discount promotion on....like he has now at Xmas (no I'm not on commission!).
There are lots of views on which finish to use for the wishbones but my research helped me make the decision to have mine chemically stripped and yellow zinc passivate coated and then two coats of clear PIR15. I beleive powder coating can lead to problems when the wishbones suffer stone chips, water gets underneath and loosens the coating.
Here's a pic of mine ready to go on the car, including Nitron suspension bearings, new Nitron dampers, Spitfire toe links and quick steering rack.

and on the car:

Just got the car back from Gugliemo Motorsport, having had a complete suspension refresh.

Went with Gugliemo in the end, as we know them well, he’s been looking after our car for six years & his price was very similar to the others quoted.

Steve also set the geo to exactly how it was set up previously, which is absolutely brilliant for our track use.

The car feels tight as a drum, it literally feels like a new car and I’m so glad we went for it.

Big thumbs up for Gugliemo in Daventry, if you need someone to look after / upgrade your car, I can highly recommend Steve.

Can’t wait for some 2023 track days now….roll on spring!
